A Wall and Floor Tiler works within commercial and residential construction projects laying tiles onto different substrates. Tiles can include ceramic, porcelain, mosaics and natural stones. Any interior and exterior areas that get wet require tiles. They are used in bathrooms, ensuites and laundries, and on patios, balconies, stairs and in and around swimming pools. Wall and floor tilers are required in interact with clients, builders, architects and other tradespeople.
The WorldSkills Australia Wall & Floor Tiling Competitions test the common skills for the construction industry, as well as the specialist field of work, wall and floor tiling.
