The Sheet Metal trade is one of the most varied of all trades, it requires careful thinking and planning, good hand and welding skills, with a high degree of accuracy and finish.

The Sheet Metal trade is one of the most varied of all trades. Sheet Metal workers’ skills include drawing interpretation, job planning, marking out, geometric development, radial line and triangulation, cutting and notching, forming and shaping, joining seams, assembly and finishes.

The WorldSkills Australia Sheetmetal Technology Competition takes into account the great diversification that exists in the trade, i.e. air conditioning, stainless steel, cubicle and general manufacture, using mild steel, stainless steel and a variety of other metals.
